We worked closely with the company's founders to understand their business model and the need to have a strong technology infrastructure in a mobile environment that was reliable, that provided enough security and safeguarded the privacy of their patients personal and health information at all times. Success
Being a new start-up and with contractual commitments to start providing dentistry services to a couple of high profile clients, Silver needed to have the mobile dental operations, including the patient management system, up and running within 3 months. Animas needed to reinvent itself and embarked upon an ambitious business transformation to identify strategic opportunities for market growth and operational optimization.
Approach
We engaged with the client to facilitate the review of their business processes and to identify where their opportunities exist and where improvements can be made.
One key initiative that was identified as part of this analysis was the creation of a program that would enable Animas to decrease their operational costs when loaning pumps to patients that needed a backup while on vacation.
Success
This multi-functional initiative included Manufacturing, QA, Distribution, Sales and Customer Service. Once the new program was released, the savings per month were an average of $105K per month thus reaching the original goal of $1MM savings within a year in just 10 months.
